The Journey

Free Consultation

A solar advisor reviews your energy usage, roof layout, and location. No pressure, no obligation. Bring 12 months of utility bills — that’s what drives accurate system sizing.What you need: Recent utility bills, roof age (approximate), any known shading concerns.

Custom System Design

Using satellite imagery and your consumption data, TrueNorth designs a system sized to match your actual usage. You’ll see projected output, estimated savings, and a clear price.

On-Site Survey

A technician visits to physically inspect your roof structure and electrical panel. This confirms the design before permitting begins.Duration: ~1–2 hours.

Permitting

TrueNorth handles all permits with local building authorities and your utility’s interconnection application. Timeline varies by municipality — typically 2–6 weeks.

Installation Day

Professional crew installs panels, racking, inverter, and all wiring. Full OHS compliance and site cleanup included.Duration: Most residential installs complete in 1–2 days.

Monitoring Setup

You’re set up with a monitoring portal and mobile app to track daily energy production. Checking it weekly is recommended — most issues show up here before they become problems.

Grid Connection & Activation

Your utility connects the system to the grid and activates net metering. Your system is live.

Warranties

Panels

25-year performance warranty from the manufacturer. Minimum 80% output guaranteed through year 25.

Workmanship

TrueNorth installation warranty covering labor, mounting, and wiring defects.

Inverter

Manufacturer warranty — typically 10–25 years depending on inverter type selected.
TrueNorth guarantees the system produces at least 85% of estimated annual energy as specified in your contract. If it underperforms, we make it right.
