Doc Agent

The Doc Agent runs in #solar-info and is the educational layer of the TrueNorth AI platform. It answers technical and general questions about solar energy — designed for homeowners who are still learning.

What It Does

Explains how solar panels work, what components make up a system, how grid-tie and net metering function, and what realistic expectations for output look like in Canadian climates.
Covers panels, inverters (string, micro, power optimizer), racking, monitoring systems, and battery storage. Helps customers understand trade-offs.
Explains the permitting process, utility interconnection requirements, and available federal and provincial solar incentives (CEIP, provincial grants, net metering programs by province).
Defines kW vs kWh, payback period, degradation rate, PV, DC/AC ratio, and other terms customers encounter during the sales process.
